An e-mail communication chain has been set up for speedily passing on matters of local concern, incidents, suspicious callers etc. If you are not already included on the circulation but would like to be, please contact Rodney on 664990.

This is a charity established in 2003 to help overcome day to day transport problems for those without a car or who have difficulties using public transport, providing a door-to-door service by minibus. Dial-a-Ride also offers its members many day excursions for pub lunches or to places of interest.
All users have to be members which costs £7 a year or £12 a household. The return cost, for example to Ely, is £2.75 with a bus pass or £5.50 without. The cost for under 18s is £3.75 return. A door to door service is provided wfrom Fordham up, so the individual can say where they want to go, eg. Princess of Wales hospital, Tesco, Market Square. For Stuntney the service is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and pick-ups and returns are normally between 10.00 and 15.00. Also provided are door to door excursions to places of interest eg. in Cambridge, St Ives and Bury St Edmunds, priced individually.

REFUSE COLLECTIONS
Ordinary refuse collections - weekly on Thursdays.
'Black Box' recycling collections - washed tin cans, glass bottles & jars also newspapers & Yellow Pages should be put in separate bags in the Black Box.
'Brown Bag' collections, of compostable garden waste, kitchen waste, flat packed cardboard and shredded paper. Extra brown bags available from Brands or the Council at 50p a time.
Black box and brown bag collections take place fortnightly (Fridays) use 16th May 2008 as a reference date. Boxes and bags should be ready for collection by 7 am.

Two public access computers together with printers are available in the Stuntney Social Clubrooms, installed by the Cambridgeshire Community Network using continuous broadband connections to the internet provided as part of the £27 million contract between Cambs. CC and NTL.
The Stuntney Social Club acts as host to the computers and access is during club hours unless special arrangements are made. The Club is normally open from 8 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. No charge is made for access but as the Club has to stand the overhead costs of lighting, heating and insurance it would be appreciated if regular users would take out Club membership. The fees are very modest.

that are the Council's responsibility. Doug wishes all his sites were as well kept as at Stuntney,
